As the Communications Manager you will work with our leadership team to conceive and target our diverse target audience groups with innovative messaging. You will help design and implement marketing, public relations, brand building and communication strategies to help cultivate our relationships with the media to engage our target audience. You will help promote Wadhwani AI’s mission - AI for Social Good - through various print, online and offline media platforms and to key stakeholders, like innovation or execution partners, government agencies and various other corporate and social sector organizations. You will be responsible for brand building and for managing the reputation of the brand.
Plan and strategise an over all communication strategy to create brand visibility for Wadhwani AI in India and other select geographies
Implement and manage an integrated communication strategy that promotes Wadhwani AI’s objectives as well as messages to key stakeholder audiences: Innovators, Government, Partners, Donors, etc.
Proactively facilitate the planning and implementation of publicity strategies, campaigns, develop high-quality, informative, interesting press releases, briefing documents etc.
Organize PR events like promotional events, press conferences, tours, visits, and exhibitions to increase awareness of our company and also serve as the public face of the company
Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to external PR team including monitoring their performance.
Position Wadhwani AI well with critical influencers in the space including micro influencers
Create and manage PR budgets, deadlines, objectives, and schedules
Manage the digital and social media engagement for Wadhwani AI including online reputation management and managing of social media calendar.
Updating the brochure, website and newsletter content as required.
Consistently brainstorm and collaborate with team for new ideas and strategies
You are just what we are looking for if you have a passion for influencing the world through media, are passionate about wanting to make a difference, have experience of building a brand from scratch, write and speak extraordinarily well, and have some background working in or with the social sector or nonprofits. Domain expertise (Marketing, PR, Communications and social media) and experience in copywriting and content creation is critical you should have relevant networks that you can leverage for your work. You should be up to date on the latest industry trends and methods and cogently be able to articulate them. You are a person who enjoys living for the hustle that’s required to meet ambitious goals with an appetite for collaboration and are able to exquisitely supervise and manage multiple projects and initiatives. Exposure to or experience with tech start ups would be an amazing value add.
Education and Experience: MBA with Marketing major from a reputed institute/ PG in Communications with 7+ years of experience
