Dr. Kirankumar Rade is a Public health professional, epidemiologist with keen interest in control of communicable diseases especially Tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy and COVID-19. Working with WHO Country Office for India, offering technical assistance to India’s National TB Programme, in diverse and challenging conditions, initially in state of Bihar and then in Gujarat and Central TB Division in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Designed first state representative Tuberculosis prevalence Survey for the state of Gujarat. Designed real time TB surveillance system (Nikshay) and Direct Benefit Transfer for TB patients. Designed National TB Prevalence survey and also sub-national TB surveillance for district level burden estimation and mortality prevention.
